Sitting on the Dock of the Bay

Made it last weekend to San Francisco with two of my closest college friends in celebration of bachelorette-hood.  It was a whirlwind of sight seeing, fantastic food, and laughter.

We checked in at the Cova Hotel on Friday afternoon after an incredibly smooth flight on Virgin Airlines. Grabbed the shuttle down to Fisherman’s Wharf to get some touring in. The weather was typical of that quoted by Mark Twain “The coldest winter I ever saw was the summer I spent in San Francisco”. We walked the piers and enjoyed the company.

Made it out that night to Cantina to enjoy some good piped tunes and excellently crafted drinks. Ended the night happy and laughing as we tend to do.

Lots of touring, Chinatown, Union Square, the Ferry Building, and a hop on hop off tour of the city. We managed to walk up and down Hyde street to see Lombard Street and cable cars- which of course we took during the weekend.

We ate at Dottie’s, had the most delicious breakfast I have ever had. Hands down. Smoked Salmon, capers, cream cheese, scallions in a scramble accompanied by homemade dill toast. We ate, and ate. The best part of the meal, we barely spoke, a true sign of a delicious and hearty meal.

Overall a lovely weekend was had by all in the City by the Bay.
