I’ve taken photos for this dear family several times in the past- it helps that we’ve known each other for a decade. When Krista advised me a photo session would be in order to help announce a new addition, I jumped at the idea! She’ll be a lucky mom to another beautiful baby boy and surrounded by her guys- Chris and Jake! We used the Sugar Beet Factory as our backdrop and had a lot of fun. Jake will be an amazing big brother, I just know it. Congratulations to you all!
I’ve never had an immediate passion for newborn photography. I’ve always thought of it to be posed, pressured, and expensive. Over the last few years, my personal compass has needed an adjustment when it comes to newborn photography. First, many of my closest friends have had children recently and second, there is a need to capture the sweet first few days as they pass so quickly with the rush of visitors, appointments, feedings, and (maybe) sleeping.
With one of my close friends having a happy and healthy baby boy a few weeks back, I couldn’t help but offer to take a few photos of his sweet little self for their memory books.
We approached the photos as an afternoon in his nursery and 100% up to his sleep & feeding schedule. Using simple blankets and using natural light, we managed to capture some very sweet faces. He is bright, beaming, and such a sweet little guy. I can’t wait to capture more as he grows.
I try not to play favorites, but this little girl wins everything hands down. She is just about the happiest baby I’ve ever met. I was lucky enough to celebrate her first year with friends and family this weekend. Mom and Dad have been dear friends for many years, through marriage, a pregnancy, and now a soon to be walking 1 year old! Happy Birthday dear Ella!
I was lucky to snap a few photos with this adorable family for some pre-holiday portraits. With a fantastic teenager and a darling 1 year old, this mom and dad have an abundance of to dos, but also a huge abundance of love! These guys were so fun to spend the afternoon with on one of my favorite little secret trails in town.
I love that over the last few years, I have had the pleasure of taking photos for families as they grow. Stacy and Victor are no exception. I was honored to photograph their incredible wedding, and the first few weeks of them welcoming Baby C into their family. Now, a year old, she is mobile, and bubbly, and so so so sweet. After postponing due to fog, we managed to snag a few minutes to capture their darling family in action.
